I’m heading to West Virginia tomorrow! I’m fording the river to Suzanne’s and The Retreat and The Party.

I get to wake up to farm sounds. Drink cow’s milk. Eat homemade butter…and homemade cheese…and things fried in lard. My body type is not made for 30 g of fat a day. I’m going on a food vacation!

The whole week will be packed with things to learn…and food! I can’t wait for The Party food. (Can you tell I’m hungry?) There are many, many, many magnificent cooks that come to Stringtown Rising Farm and bring their wonderful food to share. I sort of plopped right near the buffet last year and just snacked or maybe that was grazed.
