Has anyone ever used a cotton or cloth stuffing sack inside of your turkey or chicken before roasting?
My mom gave me some stuffing sacks and I would like to try one for my turkey on Thanksgiving Day, but I would like to get some input on if you have used one and if you would use one again?!
Here is a link so you can see what they look like: http://www.reynoldsstuffingsacks.com/
Anyone have a recipe for these? I can usually get them at a little doughnut shop but I really hate driving anywhere just to get doughnuts…especially in the morning. They are cake doughnuts but more dense than the regular ones, and they are rough (not smooth) on top. They are usually just dusted with a little cinnamon and powdered sugar or maybe a light glaze.
Thanks so much! ๐
I am coming to the end of the jelly season ๐ and have different types of juice left over that I would like to do a mixed fruit jelly from. I have pear, apple, grape – 2 or 3 cups of each. My problem is that I don’t know what the ratio of juice/sugar should be to a package of pectin. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hello everyone, last year around the holidays, I had a piece of the most delicious candy, it was a very buttery, very thin brittle with roasted cashews and then dipped several times in a very dark chocolateโit was fabulous. Has anyone made anything similar, if so, I would love to have the recipe.
When I was at Suzanne’s CITR party at her house, someone made “Spiders” with chow mein noodles and chocolate. I call them Haystacks. My mom can’t seem to find her recipe so I am hoping that someone can share their recipe with me! I LOVED THEM! ๐ Thanks in advance ๐
I have acquired a beef tongue from my “meat guys” at the Farmer’s Market. I know Grandma used to just boil it (I think), but wonder if anybody has any other ideas?? Any experience???
Thanks for any help or ideas.
This bread used to come in a soup-can sized loaf. I remember it as a date and nut bread. Great for cream cheese sandwiches…You know how memories of food can drive one to distraction? Please, take pity, share a Boston Brown Bread with CITR Farm Bell.
My grandmother used to make a meatless stuffed pepper. It’s the only way my Dad likes them. None of the kids know how she made them and my Mother did not share the recipe before she passed. All I know is it was a mesh of biscuits and tomatoes and a few other things but no meat and no rice. If anyone might have a version I would be very appreciative. Thanks!
