Strawberry Romaine Salad

A refreshing and pretty salad that is a crowd pleaser everytime. You can use a different cheese such as feta if you like. Use Splenda to make the dressing if you are watching your sugar.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 6

Ingredients

Dressing

1 cup vegetable oil

¾ cup sugar

½ cup red wine vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon white pepper

Salad

1 large head romaine lettuce

1 head Boston lettuce

1 pint strawberries, sliced

1 cup shredded Monterrey jack cheese

1 cup toasted pecans or walnuts

Directions

For dressing: Combine ingredients in jar and shake vigorously.

For salad: Cut or tear lettuce. Toss lettuce with dressing, apply just enough to coat. Add other ingredients and continue to toss.
