Old fashioned family recipe to put to use extra garden tomatoes.
2 T. Butter
1 onion, chopped
2 cups, fresh chopped tomatoes (including juice)
2 T. flour
1/2 – 1 C half n’half (or milk)
Pepper or Cajun seasoning

Saute onion in butter. When soft and slight browned add tomatoes. Simmer until juice is just evaporated.
Cover tomato mix with 2 T. flour. Blend well. Add milk to reach desired consistency and heat till just boiling. Season to taste.
Serve on biscuits or mashed potatoes.
