Hi! It is December in Northeastern Wisconsin and the perfect time to read a book. We have a foot of snow that is not going anywhere. I just finished Chickens in the Road. Suzanne is very inspiring. Because I have lived in rural Wisconsin for 30 years, taught reading to 1st graders for 19 years and have chickens, geese, ducks, guineas and turkeys on and off for the last ten, I can appreciate the adventures of Chickens in the Road. If you liked it as well, you might find Populations 485 by Michael Perry and his other 6 other books about living the simple rural life in Wisconsin while being a volunteer rescue worker, registered nurse and self made farmer. Because I had read his books, I picked up Chickens in the Road when it appeared in our local bookstore. Now I am a fan! Thanks!
