Thank you Suzanne for the opportunity to win your book! I found Chickensintheroad a few years ago while you were at Stringtown. I cannot remember how I found you but knew that I just had to bookmark your site. Thank you for all of the wonderful knowledge I have gleaned from you. :)

It was back in 2009 when I was the Craft Coordinator for my MOPS group in IL.  I was desperately seaching the web for ideas that I could make for 100 women for less than $2 each.  I happened upon the Winter Citrus Potpourri and I was hooked. And most importantly, the moms LOVED the craft!

You expect me to remember that far back??? It surely was in one of my hunts for homesteading and country living blogs. As soon as I found you, I was hooked!

I learned of your blog from a friend who lives in Roane County before I bought my farm in Roane County. She knew I would fall in love with everything about it and I DID!knight

I happened upon this site right before I bought my 100 year old farmhouse waaaay out in the country.  I was searching for tips on living in an old farmhouse when I came across CITR.  That was almost 4 years ago and I’ve been reading daily ever since.

I found CITR about four years ago.  I’ve lived in the Atlanta area for 15 years now, but every day I get more homesick for the mountains of WV where I grew up.  One day I was googlling around looking for a blog about WV life, and I fell in love with Suzanne and Clover and the rest of the CITR gang.  I’ve been reading every day since then.  happy-flower

I was researching chicken keeping in early 2010, because I had just got some chickens.  I have really enjoyed CITR, and I’m a daily reader!

I found this site when a friend of mine posted a link to a cheese how to. I loved reading the post and continued to find each article very fascinating. I wanted to milk a cow! And making cheese suddenly seemed like neat thing to do. Then reading about the Crafts, well that really got me hooked.shimmy

A friend told me about a blog where a woman was incubating chicken eggs. I’ve been a faithful reader ever since.

Suzanne,

Like many others I can’t for the life of me remember HOW I found this site, I con only be glad I did. I think more then likely I was checking out how to make cheese and then couldn’t stop reading once I found the stories and photos about Clover heart . Best of luck with the new book .

I’ve been following Suzanne’s adventures since about 2008, I think. It’s been a while. :) I’m not quite sure how I came across the blog. I might have been searching online for farm living.  I secretly feel I was born in the wrong century.  I dream of one day living on a farm, with sheep or alpacas or somebody I can shear to make beautiful yarn. Chickens and a huge garden.  Ahh… For now I live vicariously through you, Suzanne!

My oldest stepdaughter told me about your blog last year.  She had given me a jar of homemade sugar scrub for Christmas last year.  She found the recipe on your blog.  She thought I would be interested as my husband and I will be retiring in October 2014 to start an alpaca farm in rural Michigan.  I have followed your blog faithfully ever since and even started my own blog when I was so inspired by yours.  The title was inspired by your blog name.  Thanks Suzanne!  I’m looking forward to reading your book.   :)
