I found this site when I read an article you wrote in the Charleston Gazette several years ago. I’ve been reading daily ever since!

A friend in Arizona told me about your site. She and her sisters had been following you for years, and now, so have I! I’ve been a follower for more than four years, and look forward to logging on each day to four more years! Thanks for providing us with laughter and tears Suzanne!

like so many I do not recall exactly how I came across CITER-but it had to do with -living simple/craftnmaking. And I have been loving it every since.  The blog, and the other followers are so inspirational.bomb

I found CITR while searching for Christmas recipes and crafts. I found a tutorial on making twig stars (https://chickensintheroad.com/house/crafts/making-twig-stars/), and after poking around a bit, I fell in LOVE with the site. I started canning, making cheese, raising chickens, and now my husband and I are considering getting a few goats as well!

I found CITR through Facebook… I sub to a lot of farm blogs and such since I want to have my own farm someday and this one quickly became a favorite!  I have been reading for a few years now.  This is certainly one of my happy places to read.   :)  happy-flower

If I rememaber correctly a friend of mine who lives in Kentucky told me I should check out this lady’s blog because she lived in Roane County, WV and I am also a WV girl and live not too far away. I did check out the blog and have been interested in all the topics since joining up. It’s like a journey reading it as it progressed year to year.

I recently found this site two ways: one thru searching for chickens and then thru a friend. I enjoy the site tremendously. Lots of good stuff and interesting too. Hopefully, one day I can attend a retreat. Can’t wait for the book!! It will be my first reading!

I happened to find CITR during a search for how to make soap. Being a WV girl I immediately put CITR on my favorites list.

I found CITR about 5 yrs ago.. When I was spending the winter in Flordia away from my family and chickens & goats ….. Missing them terribly….. I googled…. Missing my chickens in the yard…. Got Suzanne and have been hooked ever since!! Love it- Been to 2 retreats- ck daily and know the only reasons she doesn’t post are: MMIO :) that’s a good thing- or no electricity :(. Or something important with her -a priority as it should be !! Love the blog and so excited about the book!! She’s my hero!!!

I believe Chickens in the Road was mentioned on Pioneer Woman’s blog.  That’s how I came to find this slice of heaven.

One of my blogpals referred to your blog in a post, so of course I had to come check it out – and have been here ever since!

It’s been so long that I can’t remember how I found you.  I suppose I was just wandering around the internet maybe?

I don’t remember how I found the blog, but I was hooked from the moment I read the first post!  I’ve learned so much and it inspired me to raise my own chickens.  I’m so looking forward to reading the whole story…..

I started following this blog when I was looking up frugal home and budget blogs. I just fell in love with Chickens in the Road and Suzzanne right off. Been reading daily for a few years now.

I was searching for bread recipes because I was trying to learn to make homemade bread. I’m not sure I’d ever have gotten the hang of it if it weren’t for Suzanne’s grandmother bread.
