The threaded ring that holds the plate in place was too large and when I started grinding the ring would push off and the grinder wouldn't grind any more.

nanadeb, that was a serious surgery!  I've never been thru anything that painful!  :( How long did it take you to recuperate from that?

Ross, I'm glad they stood behind their product.  That is rare now a days

Hey Mary,

I tried out the Sausage, Potato, Leek pie on the weekend.  It was easy and delicious and it's from Farm Bell Recipes.  I know I get in the cooking rut too.  My daughter has been working late so she doesn't cook like she used to.  I love cooking but do run out of ideas and effort.

On the weekend, Steven did lots of cooking and I just loved being the taste tester…LOL.  With the hint of spring coming, it gives us new energy and yes… dreaming of grilling  chef

Good luck finding something new to try   pawprint

Ross,

That was a beautiful picture of the flowers with the butterfly.  When I'm on vacation I always have my camera in hand.

Also it's good to know that Cabela's stands behind it's products.   pawprint

That's right Paws, we all need a break now and again.  I know with warm weather I will grill most every nite so that is like a break.  I can make a whole meal on the grill and that is next to no dishes!  Yay!

Yes, the next to nothing in dishes is nice too.  I miss it… hmmm has me thinking maybe if the weekend is a bit warm to try grilling… I don't know how warm it's suppose to be but it's a thought.  pawprint

Well, I'm a bit crazy, but I've been grilling in 40 temps.. lol   But in my defence, when I plan it during the day it is warm, but the temps fall quick now, and that air is still coooold!

It would have to be on Monday… This will be a work weekend for Steven and I don't like to send him out at 9:00 pm to start cooking after a long day of work… well not in the winter anyway  hug

If you have the meat and veggies all ready to grill and a nice cold beer ready for him I doubt that he would feel terribly put upon.. I like to cut chicken breast into long narrow strips and marinate in black bean sauce and rice wine vinegar, skewer and grill. It is very quick cooking and good hot or cold.

OH yeah, another good idea, Ross!   For grilling I like to put veggies, anything you can imagine, and change it up all the time, in aluminum foil and season real well.  That's good too.  Or grill the veggies right on the grill.

LOL Ross & Maryb

Steven wouldn't mind grilling… he's really good about it… It's me that feels bad about sending him out at that time during the winter.  He had a 45 minute commute each way (if the roads are good) on top of a 12 hour shift in emergency.  I do try to be nice…LOL.

Ahhh but grilling still sounds good… I'll have to check to see if he has the propane attached to the grill, which I know is sitting near the garage door.

Oh and I know the beer or a glass of red wine would help out…LOL.  You guys crack me up.

Hope you're having a great day!!!   pawprint

Oh and the temps drop pretty fast up where he is… brrr :)    But he has Monday off with me.  It's Family Day a holiday in Ontario…. so maybe grilling then :)

:) I'll be watching for it!!!

Have a wonderful day.   pawprint

What did you end up doing, Paws?  Did Steven grill?  I'd wait if I were you.  It's not fun when it's that cold.  The grill can't heat up as much, or is that my imagination?  lol   surprised

Ahh but MaryB, that's the point. It IS fun when it's this cold, or we've had this much snow…it's a great tease, a super trailer, a full on 5-senses reminder that soon we'll be grilling ''cause it's too HOT to cook in the house.

Oh yeah, the too HOT is coming way too fast, Bonita.  lol    I'll stand out there in 40's to grill, did that already, but I don't know about talking me into it colder than that.
