We had cooler temps today also with overcast skies and sometimes drizzle. Supposed to be cooler all next week. It is state fair week as rain is usually a given sometime during the week. I guess today was the day because they are not forcasting any more rain til a week from Mon. Well, just wait that will change.

Well–they are telling us the rain is gone! Last night we had nearly 4 inches of rain! I heard it coming down and kept waiting for it to let up but it just kept raining non-stop. We do have flood warning around our area. We will have cool weather for a couple days and then back up in the 80s for a few days then Fall like temps should arrive, so happy to hear that. I need a good week of dry cool temps to get some yard work done.

Another cold and rainy day. We put away the porch furniture and remkved most of the plants from the planters. Again the Whats for dinner button is still not working, I will post it here, we are having French onion soup. I dont have french bread, so I use salad croutons, they work very nicely and I like the added flavor.

Rain again today. Tonight is trick or treat night in our area but I don’t think it is going to happen, and of course I have the candy in in a big basket ready to hand out. We always take our treats to the end of the driveway and sit in chairs and wait for the beggars to arrive, there are no sidewalks and street lights so it is safer for the kids. Last year it was cold and some drizzle so we closed up early and had lots of candy left, we took it to our Doctors office for the girls there to enjoy, I guess we will do the same this year, of course we will keep a bowl full for. I really should buy candy that I don’t care for.

The weather here is cloudy and cool with the possibility of rain. Our Halloween trick or treaters have tapered off quite a bit in the last few years. We were so excited to be able to participate in trick or treat because we had previously lived in the country and we would take our kids to town to trick or treat. The kids that lived in this area when we move in here 27 years ago have grown up and moved on. Also a lot of churches and other organizations sponsor “Trunk or Treat” which is easier than going door to door. Also, the weather here tends to be really unpredictable this time of year. We have had snow on Halloween.

it is a bright sunshiny day here today after blizzard conditions yesterday. We got less than an inch of snow here but other parts of the state got more plus we had winds gusts (all over the state) of up to 40+ mile winds that created white out conditions. Streets were in good shape here when we were out last night.

Today was a very windy day with an on going light snow and very overcast. I had planned on going out for a couple of hours this morning but the roads were a bitsnow covered and icy in spots, I dont do well on ice either driving or walking, so I stayed home. Turned onthe trees and cooked dinner. It was a good day.

Its a cloudy day here but not raining or snowing or sleeting. We had snow and high wind Friday night. We had a power outage that last several hours and from the sounds of it it covered a large area of the state. Snow depth ranged from 1/2 in to several inches in some parts of the state.
Been working on getting the basement organized. It’s been an ongoing process for quite awhile now. Also, made a couple of shopping totes since our grocery store will soon be eliminating plastic bags.

Fickle Mother Nature gave us 60 + degree temperatures yesterday and today she is giving us 23 degree temperatures with sleet and snow and icy roads. Glad I am retired and don’t have to go anywhere. Was able to get all but 2 loads of bedding washed and hung out on the line yesterday and got shopping done so I am set for the weekend.

Well, here we go again. All the ice from last week has melted away (except shady areas) and they are telling us that we will have snow tomorrow night maybe as much as 6 inches here. Went to the store this morning and got some supplies so let it snow, let it snow. I don’t anticipate having to get out until next Sun.

Well, we got between 1 and 2 inches of snow yesterday. They predicated that we could have gotten between 3-5 inches. Just west of us about 30 miles they got 10 inches and other places got 5.5 inches. Waiting for it to melt and the next storm to blow in this weekend. Welcome to Kansas in February where one day will be in the 60’s and the next day will be 0. But I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Today is cold and rainy, we had over a half inch of rain last night and it is expected to continue for most of the day. We were able to put down fertilizer earlier this week so the rain was welcome. We have had quite a dime with the weeks this year especially those lovely little yellow flowers all over the lawns, they are worse this year than I can remember in the past.
