Snowing, Snowing, Snowing, Snowing, Snowing here!!!! I got the whole driveway shoveled out, got the car down to the bottom of the driveway, now I'm wondering if it's going to snow so much I won't get out again! It is still a part of the weather front that moved in this past weekend, it's been snowing off and on since friday. I love snow, but it's getting a little old!
I got the drive shoveled out by about 12 noon, and by 5pm everything is covered up again. ….*sigh*

It is 18 degrees here in central Ohio and snowing, we are supposed to get another inch tonight, just as long as there is not a lot of ice, I can deal with the snow. Actually, I love it. I had to go into the city today UGH–how go they breathe there??
I was so glad when I started driving home and could see open fields of snow, and it was white!
Keep warm everyone, and cook something you really like!

Well below zero with lots and lots of snow! We have to plug the vehicles in now to be surse they start in the morning. Chicken heat lamp and water heater are always on. I am continually picking the mailbox up from the ditch where the snowplow deposits it after each storm. (I want one on a spring loaded arm. Its on my very long to-do list.) I think we are getting a country community mailbox soon anyway, nothing definate, we just keep getting letters from the city talking about our mailbox situation and this possibility for some country communities. As of Jan 1, our property is in the city limits. They expanded to include our area.
When we have a still day and workable weather outside, I am going to install a wine cellar and work area in the basement. Just waiting for the wind and blizzard conditions to die down.

More snow! Not all that much, in the big scheme of things, but 6-8 inches in MY back yard is significant! Especially the part in the driveway…
Not sure the temp. We have several thermometers, none of which I trust. They variously read 30, 22 and 21, while the radio is reporting 19 to the south of us and 18 to the north of us. Whatever it is, it's cold enough to keep me indoors.
**note to self – get a new thermometer, or get the one that used to be mounted on the front of the garage relocated so we know what the temp is outside**

When they read the school closings this morning on the radio it sounded like about half the state was closed. Many started out as delays, then became closings. It's still snowing here, but a finer sort. (Is that what they call “powder?”)
This time around, the snow is a nice dry snow. Our trees are beautiful, but not looking in peril. Much, much better this way. This I can live with comfortably.

We had snow again in part of Ohio, nothing major, jusr a nice coating, no ice, that's a good thing
I really like this time of year, I know I cant do anything outside, so I have a lot of time for inside things and cooking.
Chris, I have been wanting to ask you, do you know where Shirley is located?

Our forecast is calling for white stuff (some people say snow) Thurs nite and Friday morning. Do you know what that means in the south?? Idiots all come out in the white stuff– There will be no bread or milk in any store by Thursday noon— All the bubba's and bubbettes will be out in their 4 wheel drives and the roads will be a mess. I am technically a bubbette as I have a Chevy Z71, but if I drive it in the snow I will drive like a little old lady ( I am also a little old lady). Please send me good thoughts because I will have to work Thursday white stuff or not!!
Don't cry because it's over—smile because it happened!

Well it dropped from 26 to 12 overnight and the wind chill at the moment is -4. We have several inches of new snow and more predicted but it looks like if we're lucky it's only about 7 or 8 inches total new snow by tomorrow afternoon. Since it's coming 3 or 4 inches at a time it's easier to get around safely. Well, my concern is not ME, it's watching out for the not-so-smart-or-skilled drivers out there with me
