I posted awhile back but just realized my link doesn’t work on the previous post……I like to make primitive dolls, seed bags, snowmen, Santas and angels.  The primitive dolls are from pattens that I drew…the faces were inspired by pictures I have seen over the years.

Another of my creations is paper that is made to look old. I Love paper!!!!  I cut out paper tags and make them look old. Then I draw by hand different pictures….such as Christmas tags or Halloween tags. I also started making stationary and cards that look old. A card set usually includes an all handmade card, matching envelope and a gift tag (hang tag).

I also enjoy making baby bibs and burp cloths. They are also all made from patterns that I drew myself. I machine quilt the bibs and burp cloths from all new, bright flannel and woven cotton fabrics.

I have a Facebook page for my creations…I really haven’t sold anything online…just by word of mouth and at local craft shows. There are quite a few pictures on the page…please take a look around.  Thanks!!!!

Dana, your facebook page is wonderful!  I love your dolls, bibs and especially your tea dyed tags.  Have you thought about selling on Etsy?  I really don’t know the pros and cons of facebook vs. etsy but I know a lot of people who buy from the Etsy site.  Anyway, you are very creative, good luck with your business!

Hi Rebekah,

I love your soaps, they look so great and I’m sure they smell delicious :).

I’m heading back to read about the farm.  I’m in Waterford, MI most weekends and will be moving here… hopefully soon.

Hugs Cheryl

This has nothing to do with crafts but I have missed you Cheryl.

Thanks to everyone who visited my Facebook page….I thought that I had left a reply here, but I guess that I had not. I probably typed it all in …and then didn’t hit “submit reply”. I have done that before  :( .

I have been working on a few new things and posted some new pictures on Facebook if you would like to see. I wasn’t very inspired this past winter. I always think with the short, cold days that I will get a loft of projects done, but I think the lack of sunshine slows me down.

The past few days have been sunny and warm here..and I finally feel more inspired!!! I finally have some new ideas……so hopefully more creations to come!!!

I love looking at what other artisans have posted here….everyone is so talented!!!

I added a few pictures of some new Primitive items I made….They are in the album Pillows and Dolls. It is a fun way to use leftover scraps of fabric.  I just take a pencil and write on the fabric (osnaburg) (already tea dyed) what I want to embroider and then I start to sew. Any pencil marks left on the osnaburg after you are done sewing can be rubbed into the fabric or they blend in after awhile…It just adds to the “old” look.

I like to paint in my “spare” (ROFL!) time. I have my own art page here:

sherylgallant.blogspot.com. I also make soap, wine, jewelry, upcycle clothing, make jams and jellies, and other odd crafty stuff but mostly I garden. I live to grow things and have an indoor garden where I grow things for the outdoors over the winter and I wintersew too. I’m basically a gardener. It’s not just something I do…It’s who I am. The artist comes second and everything else comes long after.

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has new things to add to this topic?  So nice to see what everyone makes or has for sale.

I’ve been doing a lot of sewing and crocheting.

Hello all.

Does anyone know how we can get these threads transfered to the main forum page?

I think all of the administrators are no longer around, and Flatlander (Astrid) is a moderator and I beleive the only active person, and she had her hands full with her own blog, which is in Dutch, much to my dismay. If you know how to transfer the threads that are seen only on the sidebar to the main page where more people can read them, tell us.

                                                   Thank you.happy-flower

Unfortunately, I can’t do that for you, all I can do is approve postings, maybe try to contact Suzanne?
