WOOO HOOO!  Thank You Billie Jo!  I am so glad yours arrived and you like it, and thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for mine!  It was the ONE bright spot in this otherwise stressful and traumatic Monday!!!

Billie crocheted (sp?) me TWO wonderful dishclothes, one in my FAVORITE color of forest green, and one in the cranberry red I am doing my kitchen accents in… so PERFECT, and I SO respect that they are crocheted, as that is the one craft I fail at.  I can knit, but there is something about the hook and loops and all that make me nuts trying to crochet! AND… she sent me the CUTEST most PERFECT ornament EVER!!!  It is a lot like the adorable gourd santas that we made at Retreat with the wonderful Debbie, but it is a pine cone instead of a gourd!  I LOVE HIM!  He is wonderful, and tomorrow, when I remember to bring home my camera (I left it at work where I was showing pictures of the aprons I made for this year) I will take photos and post them.

Thank you ever so much Billie!  I LOVE THEM!  Have a merry and blessed Christmas!hug

Birdi-aka Maine Farmgirl sent me a really spectacular gift of aprons, an amish doll, a laminated crafters poem, a crocheted hot pad…………WOW!

Birdi is a really wonderful seamstress and her things are just gorgeous! I threw on the full apron and felt compelled to make peanut butter cookies!!!!

Thank You Birdi!happy-flower

My gift arrived today from MamaLeigh!  Thank you so very much for the very fragrant and lovely homemade soaps and liquid hand soap, all so very yummy smelling and useful.  I particularly like scented soaps to keep in my “unmentionables” drawer.  Many, many thanks and a very blessed Christmas to you and your family Leigh.

Fondly,

I had a package at the post office today and it was my present from Virginia Farmgirl! Thank you so much!

She sent me two bars of wonderful-smelling homemade soap, and the sweetest little snowman earrings. How did you know I collect snowmen?

Everything was nicely wrapped, and securely packed in crinkly paper. She even wrote my name and address in calligraphy on the box, and drew little holly leaves too. Very pretty even before I opened it!

My first gifts of the season!

Merry Christmas!

Flatlander, sorry, I can't post photos as I don't use Facebook.

shimmy  I got my gift(s) from Carolyn in Virginia today!  She made me 3 special gifts, all Christmas tree themed:  a beautiful tea towel, a knitted dishcloth and a pair of quilted ornaments.  They were beautiful!  She even had sheep-shaped confetti inside the box… adorable!  Thank you so much, Carolyn!  I love all of my gifts and appreciate the time you put into making them.

I hope you & your family have a very Merry Christmas!

Susanne (SuziQ)

P.S. – I will post pictures soon!

Miss Judy, no the one you get a gift from is NOT the one you send one to.

I did that last year, because I was short in time (my dad passed away and the trip to funeral was an 9 hour flight and I stayed there for a few weeks to be with my mom) but this year is mixed the names real well ;-)

Miss Judy, don't laugh!  I thought it was that way this year too, because my sender and sendee were the same this year too!  But, it's all good!

Thank you Astrid for doing this.  It has truly planted the Christmas Spirit into my heart now… I was having a hard time this year!

Oh…guess I really can't find my way out of bed! I'd go back to bed but it's snowing! I can't wait to get out in it!

I thought I saw a couple of people who posted had each others names. And I guess Blyss was one of them!

I love this place!

Astrid, everyone should be very grateful that you organized this! Can you imagine if I had gotten this swap together!????laugh

Thanks everyone for posting what you got!  You cannot imagine how much we who are not participating enjoy it anyway.  Especially looking at the pics!  (Hint, hint – no it's not a “rule” but it is a serious expectation!))

I sent my gift UPS yesterday,  and I received my gift also.  Ameryal send a delightful package with handmade cards, some beautiful soaps and cuticle oil.  Boy do I need the cuticle oil for my nubby fingers.  I can't even find my camera right now, but the soaps were in little jelly jars with Christmas fabric on top and ribbons.   Thanks so much!!!

I totally freaked out…and I don't know how I did it…but I guess totally by accident…this is what happened.

Shoot me…if I would have done it on purpose, i would have cost me about 2 hours less.

Well lesson for next year…LOL..I only did it on purpose in one case..but that was a financial thing..explain later.

Hi Megan, wave

I LOoooooooooVE my stuffed polar bear you sent me for the gift swap…I can't believe you made him (or her….. :o) )  Everyone:  He is the softest, cutest thing ever…he smiles…

The craftsmanship is amazing.  She told me the polar bear is also their school mascot! AND……..not only that I received an awesome personalized card made by Megan as well, with a beautiful snowy winter scene photo taken by her as well!  Talented!!!!  I tried to get a photo of the card, but I had a hard time getting a clear on the didn't have glare…I'm trying to upload the picture of the bear…he's in my Christmas tree…I have to play with the sizing if it doesn't load the first time around.

Thank you SO much.  I Love it!!!! hug
