I’m making the Chocolate Spa Soap recipe, and after trace was achieved, I put the lid on the crock pot.  Just then, a cloud burst started, so I ran outside to get the towels off the line.  Yes, you guessed it – I didn’t turn the crock pot back on.  It was off about 10 minutes or so before I realized and turned it on low.

The soap seems to be cooking OK.  I’m still giving it about an hour.  Has this happened to anyone else?  As long as the soap tests OK with the pH strip, should it be OK?

I feel a little silly!

It’s perfectly fine :)   I’ve shut it off in the middle because I had to leave and turned it back on afterwards.  It’s best to shut if off then to leave it and have it overflow on you!

It turned out great! It smells so good I had to put it up high to cure to make sure my big Lab doesn’t get into it.

Thanks so much for the encouragement.
