This morning I made biscuits using fresh buttermilk from a local farm, bought at the farmers market. Very good if I do say so myself!
Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!

I am baking a chocolate cake from a recipe that I received from King Arthur’s flour, a very dark moist cake with a icing made with chocolate chips and half and half. So yummy!!

Up early this morning to bake a loaf of banana bread to take my Mother’s house today, it is one of her favorites. Looking forward to a wonderful visit.

Up at 4:30 to get some bread and sandwich rolls going, it is going to be another super hot humid day here, to hot to cook much, so sandwiches and salad will probably be on the menu.

I just took a chocolate cake out of the oven and am waiting for it to cool enough to put on the frosting, this is a very moist chocolate cake withe a rich chocolate icing, I have had such a chocolate craving the last few days, this should take care of it.

A friend gave us several zucchini squash, I would like to bake some zucchini bread, I also would like a tried and true recipe, if you have one you would you either PM me or direct me to the site?

I have a casserole one that I will find and send to you. Will need to go through my stash so it may take me awhile. I have made zucchini bread in the past but don’t know if I still have a recipe for it.

Up early this morning to bake biscuits and make sausage gravy for our dear neighbors that took such good care of me early this week, also baking 2 cakes today, a pineapple upside down cake for Hubby’s birthday and a very dark yummy chocolate cake for our neighbors.

I stepped outside our clean diet and baked a plum clafoutis. It was SOOO good! The market had really nice red and black plums, and I bought probably more than we can eat, hence the clafoutis. Enjoyed it warm for our sweet after dinner.

We were able to get some apples from our orchard this morning, so we will have apple pie tonight. I hope to make some apple butter in the near future.

Yesterday afternoon we went to a large farm market near us and purchased some fresh apple cider and some peaches so today I am baking a peach cobbler, I love anything peach.

Baking bread today, and have everything measured out for a raisin cake, the recipe for this cake goes back about 120 years as far as we can figure, it is a family favorite and a tradition for the holidays. Sadly I have no daughters or daughter in law to pass it to, I have only shared it with only one person—you know who you are

I have some half and half that needs to be use and decided to bake one of my most favorite pies ( I have several)— a sugar cream pie, I love this pie–too much, Hubby is not a fan, so temptation will be running wild.
