Jo that sounds good.
no baking for me, working and then tonight I have my crochet/knitting meeting.
Last night I did bake up some cod and broccoli.

This morning I am baking a glazed lemon pound cake.. Always so nice with a cup of tea in the afternoon on cooler days.
Wow! Glazed lemon pound cake is one of my wife’s favorite. I may have to remind her to bake one again. She’s a great baker.

Still to hot to do much baking but I did bake a pie shell in the table top oven so we will have a chocolate pie for dessert–now to figure out what we will have for dinner.

Woke up to 45 degrees temps this morning!! Love it, time to bake bread, I haven’t baked any bread for over a week. Now if we could just have a little rain, everything is so dry.

I had a bucket of apples that we picked and needed to use, so I made a fresh apple pie and peeled and chopped the rest of them and put them in the fridge. I’ll put them in the slow cooker early in the morning to make some more apple butter for the freezer. Biscuits and apple butter are one of my favorite Winter morning meals.

I am baking a cake that tastes like those little orange flavored cupcakes with the little white squiggle on top. Starting with a yellow cake and adding orange juice for the liquid and some orange zest. After the cake is cooled, I will split each layer, add a cream filling and then frost the cake with a buttercream icing also using orange zest.

Sounds good, Joelle. I am not baking today. Working on getting that pesky basement cleaned. Got a good start on it yesterday but there are so many little things that I need to accomplish down there to make it good again so it is going to take me awhile to get it done.

So happy this part of CITR is up and running once again–thank you Suzanne.
Finished up cookies last night and made fresh bread this morning for sandwiches after dinner tomorrow.

This morning Hubby asked if I had the ingredients to make a banana flip cake–I did, so I baked one for him—banana flips used to be one of his favorite snack cakes many years ago, we can’t find them around here anymore.

Baking a couple loaves of bread this morning, I made pepperoni rolls yesterday. Getting ready of the approaching winter storm.. I will be glad when it passed, although we won’t be seeing any temps above 20 degrees any time soon.

Totally miserable day here, about 6 inches of snow along with some sleet. I decided to make coconut macaroons , not a favorite of mine but Hubby really like them.

Winter returned last night, a treacherous morning for those that had to be on the road, weatherman said the worst travel morning of the winter, so many accidents.
I wanted to bake something nice and sweet so I decided on dark chocolate fudge cupcakes with buttercream icing. They should taste good this evening with a nice cup of coffee.
