I came here a lot a few years back.  Life interfered and I got side tracked with other stuff.  A year ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis after a bad bout of the Shingles.  And what a year I have had!  RA hit me with a vengeance, I basically could not do a single thing.  I lost 60 pounds(yea!) and finally my Rheumatologist found a treatment that works for my joint pain and inflammation.  I literally could not hold anything in my hands, walk or do any household things.  My sweet, precious husband had to do it all.  Then in April I was hit with a blood clot in my left leg from back of the knee all the way up to my belly button…what an ordeal that was.  I had no idea how serious it was and that I dodged a deadly bullet but I did and here I am!

Now I can use my hands somewhat, can’t wait to make bread again.  I’ll probably have to use my bread machine or my beloved KA mixer, LOL.  But I will be baking again.

And crocheting, oh my how I love my thread crochet!  I haven’t been able to quilt again yet but I plan on finishing up my Mama’s quilt tops she made before she died.  My quilt frame is still up in my bedroom and there it will stay, LOL.

Anyway….I am thrilled to be back!

Deb :)

Goodness, you’ve had a trial! Glad you are feeling better. I have 2 friends with RA and just this week my neighbor was complaining about some odd joint pain in her fingers. She just turned 39. I hope she doesn’t have it but she can’t think of any other reason for the pain. I’m hoping she’ll go to the doctor.

I (sorta) have a farm in Africa.
