Hello, October!

Oct
1

Nobody ever wants to wish summer away, but I feel as if I’ve been waiting for it to be October all year. Because I have. My book will be on store shelves in two weeks!!! And in fact, if you pre-order, they tell me you will receive your copy early. I can’t wait to hear what you all think about the book. I’m proud of it, a little scared of it (because it’s such a personal book), and impatient for it to be out, out, out!

camo5I posted this photo on my personal Facebook page today. The photo was taken playing, but I am hoping to go hunting soon. Anyway, I just thought the picture was funny and it does kinda represent October, doesn’t it?

You can find my Suzanne McMinn personal Facebook page here and if you friend me, I’ll accept, though I don’t post very much there. PLEASE “like” my Chickens in the Road Facebook page because that is where most of my activity happens.

Here is a quick recap of everything that’s happening. You can see me in the October issue of Elle Magazine (page 292), on stands now. You’ll also be able to find me in the November issue (not on stands yet) of O Magazine. (Yes, that’s right, the Oprah Winfrey Magazine! Me and Oprah, we’re tight. Or not. But hey, I’m gonna be in her magazine! Not bad for a West Virginia farm girl!) And I’ll be featured in the Charleston Daily Mail on October 9. For those of you not in this area, the article will also appear online.

And, don’t forget that I will be offering a sneak peak of the first chapter from my book soon. It will be made available via my newsletter. If you’re not signed up for my newsletter, don’t miss it! You can sign up for the Chickens in the Road Newsletter here: Sign up.

The video book trailer, in case you missed it.
