Magical

Sometimes, I take a moment, and just sit. And listen. And look. And walk around and see and pet and do. Or not do and just pet.

And I realize it really is that special.

Then I gotta go feed somebody or do the dishes or milk. Or something. But it was a really great moment! (P.S. Guess what Coco’s doing in the corner by the hay.)

Aw I loved it! So many beautiful animals, so peaceful!

  2. NancyL says:

This was wonderful! I can’t wait to watch it again when I get up! I’m also going to make sure my daughter sees it, because I think – even though he’s only 18 months old – my grandson will love it!

Thank you. And Coco? I hope she’s not looking for eggs – probably making her own nest!!!

  3. Darlene in North GA says:

She’s sucking a batch of eggs! Naughty puppy. Time to inject a syringe full of hot sauce into a couple of them and leave them for her to find. That will normally do the trick and breaking her of that bad habit.

  4. brenda s okie in colorado says:

This is the BEST video you have ever posted. I could watch this over and over. Precious animals.

  5. rurification says:

Great video! I know what you mean about those precious minutes that you just stand still and pay attention.

It looked to me like Coco was nesting. What’s up with that?

  6. Granny Trace says:

    You are blessed.

What a great and noisy video. Here, sitting in my office of my city apartment, I wondered at the loudness of life there. And when the turkeys chimed in, my cat went crazy….only with the turkeys. Funny how he reacted to just one type of animal in the video!

  8. CasieD says:

Love the sounds of the farm! Great video.

I bet Coco was eating either chicken poo or eggs. Both make her a naughty puppy! lol

  9. 4jsMOM says:

    THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.

I have no idea what Coco is doing in that corner. Please tell us.

  10. Yankee in NC says:

Hunting for eggs is my guess. Coco..leave the eggs for Suzanne!

I loved the video..all of those wonderful sounds surround you…just heaven!

  11. kpbarnett says:

    :happyflower: LOVE this video!

  12. ingrid66 says:

Lovely to wake up to :purpleflower:

  13. Sandra says:

That was fun….sitting here in the gated subdivision with hundreds of look-alike houses with the ground so cracked from lack of rain…video take me away to the land of green and sounds of nature.

  14. DB says:

Yes, magical is a good word. Love the sounds of your animals.

  15. dgkritch says:

I think Coco is hunting for eggs too.

  16. dklenke says:

At first, I thought that Coco was eating eggs but then when I saw Granny Trace’s comment, figured she was right. Mine love all the farm animals’ goodies! :snoopy:

  17. TinaBell says:

Lovely, just lovely. I love the trees and the hills that seem to go on forever. The sounds of the animals seemed to echo…

  18. msmitoagain says:

My fav parts are Glory Bee eating hay and that tiny roo with his wimpy crow!

  19. langela says:

That single rooster’s crow was pitiful. I love when our roosters were just starting to crow. Made us laugh every time. I wish you had gotten a still shot of the lamb in the grass. That would make a great wallpaper for the computer.

I vote that Coco is eating poo, also. That’s what my dog always does in the coop. Apparently it’s “delish”!

  20. cabynfevr says:

Aww, that was nice. Drove my lab crazy though! Is Coco egg hunting?

  21. CindyP says:

Oh how I love the sounds of the farm….the wakeup songs are the best 🙂

Has there been a lamb tail fall off lately that Coco has to hide?

  22. prayingpup says:

    Uh-ohhhh . . . . I hope Coco hasn’t started a bad habit.
I LOVED the video – it made me want to crawl right in to it. I would like to come sit on your porch for a day . . . or, a year! Thank you! And please tell us more about Coco and the eggs!

  23. JerseyMom says:

Uh oh, Coco! Unless you are finding them and then fetching them to Suzanne you are gonna be in big trouble! Wish the injecting them with hot sauce would work on other chickens and crows! My dogs don’t touch them but sometimes the other hens do….and a crow was spotted flying out of the coop with an egg yesterday!

  24. JeannieB says:

What a beautiful video, when I get the courage to run away, it just might be to WV!

  25. holstein woman says:

Lovely, I think that looks more like Virginia and home than Oregon does. The geese are growing nicely. Looks like they are very healthy and happy.
When my dog hunted eggs she brought IT to me and never did it again. She hunts rats in the chicken house so I thought it might have been a rat. No the chicken house isn’t dirty and No I don’t let them stay aroun. I have a ratter dog!!!

  26. lavenderblue says:

When that rooster first crowed, two of my kitties jumped a foot. They were both napping. Why is it so much fun to scare napping kitties?
    Is Coco fetching or snacking?

  27. aprilejoi says:

Loved this! It will be one of my new favorites. and Coco…, nono!

  28. Window On The Prairie says:

Love the sound of the birds in the woods. Not many trees here in northeast Kansas and I miss that sound.

  29. mrsmeeeow says:

This is a fabulous video! simple, natural, beautiful! I hope one day I have something so peaceful and beautiful. 2 weeks to go and i leave the city life in FL, for a rural life in the pacific northwest. I cant wait to get my own chickens!

  30. JustJane says:

Loved the video. But it totally freaked my house-cats out. One dived under the bed the other went in hunter mode. I’m bad I played it twice just to watch her hunt (can’t let her out in the city). Second time the other cat came out to investigate too.

  31. miki says:

I love your video and my schnauzers went nuts! So nice to hear those sounds again!

  32. Willamette Valley Girl says:

I loved this video!!! We had a farm alot like yours about 13 yrs ago and I find that I miss it. Now – we are urban farmers, which is also enjoyable, but I miss the sounds. THANK YOU so much for sharing this mirror into your life.
