"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

Clover it is all about you isn’t it. Here’s hoping 2010 will be a year of reproduction for you Clover. You can’t hog the 2011 calendar so it might as well be your kids that take that one over.

I’ll bet Clover’s calendar is a complete, self-absorbed, adorable work of art, and I hope it is a best seller! Unfortunately, Clover won’t be seen gracing our walls since I have three self-absorbed critters of my own who star in their own calendars I make each year. Maybe they should all get to know one another and have a “Who’s More Adorable” party?!

I like reading and viewing your blog because of the insight we non-writers get into how the mind of a writer creates another world. Keep up the good work.
