You knew I could come up with a photo to go with this, didn’t you? (I dug deep in the Chickens in the Road photo vault for this one.)

I have another giveaway! And this one is quite different.
Back in 2008, Bryan Stealey was one of the first people in West Virginia media to give me a hand up by promoting my blog within the state, and he’s been a friend ever since. Bryan is the president of Filter Publications, publishers of Racer X Online, Racer X Illustrated, the Monster Energy AMA Supercross event program, the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship event program, etc, and also a nice guy. I don’t know anything about motocross, but recently Bryan teamed up with a Swedish company called Turborilla to release the game Mad Skills Motocross for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. I don’t have an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, and I probably couldn’t figure out how to play it if I did, but I’m sure you’re smarter than me. It’s a “side-scrolling, arcade-style racing game, much like the ’80s Nintendo classic ExciteBike, only updated.” (If you want to get one, the i-Device version is only 99 cents. You can get it here.)
OR you can win the desktop version of the game! Bryan is offering two free desktop versions to my readers. (The desktop version of the game is worth $20 and will work on either a PC or a Mac.) Even if you know about as much about motocross as I do, maybe you have a husband, boyfriend, brother, son, or even a girl-person who loves motocross or just loves games.
For a chance to win: Leave a comment on this post and say hi to Bryan! TWO winners will be drawn by random comment numbers to receive the desktop version of Mad Skills Motocross. Eligible entry cut-off is midnight Eastern (U.S.) time tonight (February 7). This post will be updated with the winner by 9 a.m. Eastern (U.S.) time tomorrow (February 8). Return to this post to claim your prize if you are one of the winners.
UPDATE 02/08/11: The winning comment numbers, drawn by random.org, are #23, Carmen at Old House Kitchen, and #3, lauren. Email me at CITRgiveaways(at)yahoo.com so I can get you the code for your free download of the desktop version of the game!
THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED TO ENTRY.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
