Nutmeg, playing dead.

NUTMEG!!!

See how smug she looks? She thinks she’s so funny.

And then do you know what she did?

Yep, there she is, outside the goat yard. Rotunda, the plumpest goat in the goat yard, escapes yet again.

That’s what I get for waking her up.

As much as I’d love to have a few goats, it’s the escape artist thing that keeps me from getting them.

    Goat humor. Who knew?

Ms Nutmeg does look like she could use a few caprine pilates. Maybe you could institute a morning calisthenics program for the gang. :sheepjump:

I also wondered if she was bred. She is just adorable, just like her mama. My goats were naughty escape artists, too. But cuter than cute.

Your goats look VERY chubby! Is their weight a natural buffer against the coming winter?

Silly goat! I really like the picture where you can see all the animals; some of their little faces are looking at you! Nutmeg is quite the beauty.

Is she still recovering from the Big Party? Maybe that is just her attention getting gimmick. It worked, too. I think she is definitely her mother’s own child. ;)

She has the most expressive face!

What a bad girl she is.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
