I love to take pictures. I often takes hundreds of pictures a day. Which is why being my child means constantly having your picture taken.
I don’t love sports. At all. I love my kids, though, and my kids love sports. I spend a lot of time watching their sports. And being bored. She’s not bored. She’s intense. (Photos taken during the girls middle school basketball game, Walton vs. Wirt County, last week.)
She totally knows what’s going on, too. I don’t know what’s going on.
Like, when for whatever reason, they have one of the girls throw the ball in from the sideline, it’s always Morgan. See, here she is doing it again.
Why do they always have her do that? Is it so I can take her picture? At least she’s standing still. See what happens when I try to take her picture when she’s not standing still? I can’t do it.
It never works out. I’m not a real photographer.
I really like it when she sits down. Which she hardly ever does. She’s a starter and a very good athlete. Which is why she plays everything. I have to find some way to entertain myself. Because I’m bored and I don’t know what’s going on.
Don’t move, girl sitting next to Morgan! Look, now you’ve done it, you have no hands!
Now look how scared that girl is! She didn’t know the other school had ghosts on their team!
Morgan’s spotted me.
There’s no place to hide. She has to sit there. JUST LIKE I DO.
She ponders the great burden of being my child. The only child on the team whose mother takes pictures of her during THE ENTIRE GAME.
Do you SEE that look she’s giving me?!
Maybe she can hide behind her friend.
Now that is just plum ornery. She knows how I feel about her hair in her face.
Resigned at last. I’ve worn her out.
Okay, that was fun. Is basketball season over yet?

Made me laugh out loud – which is a bad thing – since it’s almost 1:30 and my granddaughters are asleep – Let’s not wake up 18-month-old twins!!!! LOL

Besides, she’ll have something to remember those years by. My kids have very FEW pictures of themselves growing up. Either I couldn’t afford film and developing or the few times I did have film I’d forget to take the camera because – I couldn’t afford film and developing. The few rolls I did shoot were messed up by Walmart/CVS when I took them in to have them developed. sigh

However, my son plays football – and I’m not a football fan. At all. I have no clue what’s going on. Bored out of my mind and usually freezing to death in the stands. But my son and Morgan will remember that their Mom was there, and that’s what’s important.
And, trust me, Morgan will love the photos when she’s 40 and would kill to have those thighs back.

Another bunch of great photos–I am not a sports person either, I only understand baseball–hit the ball and run, it makes sense to me.
I dont think any self respecting burgalar would even consider going into your home–he would probably be photographed at leat 50 times before he could get very far! Thats a good thimg.

Hope your electric is back on now and Christmas is full steam ahead! (It would be for you anyway….you are a Winter Hero!)
I just wanted to tell you that today is my hubby’s birthday and it’s a long standing rule (50 odd years) that he gets to choose whatever he wants for his birthday supper. Guess what he chose?? Your Sour Cream Enchiladas!!!! I have made the a couple of times and this was his special choice for his special day. Thank you for being such a good and generous cook and making my darlin’ happy on his birthday!
Looks like I might get a somewhat white Christmas in Dallas, TX afterall. Predicting maybe 1-2 inches this afternoon. How cool would that be!

Very pretty girl you have there. Good thing she has two older brothers to look out for her and screen any bees buzzing around.
I despose hair in the face, too. Mine looks like that a lot of the time now that I am growing my bangs out. I sure will be glad when they get there! You can tell her that hairbands work great and look cool. They are making a “come back”.

I have 2 teenage boys, and they HATE having their pictures taken too. They also LOVE sports, so I have the camera there taking pictures of everything because I am BORED (plus I like taking pictures of my kids).

As Morgan keeps up her grades and continues to be a great athlete…thru high school…she could be scholarship material and we always welcome those great gals at the University of Tennessee..to help us win another National Championship…and you would be coached by the greatest female basketball coach..Pat Summit…and of course I would go see you play….we love the Lady Vols….and would steal her away from W.V. if possible…LOL
