Yes, this sad tree (Tree #2) is ours. Hate to admit that. But so many of you guessed it, that is scary. See my son with his eyes squeezed shut? He is wishing Santa would bring us a bigger tree…. And LOL to those of you who picked both!! You are so bad! The winner, drawn from those with the correct guess, is Cindi! Click the Contact button above to email me your address and your 3 picks from my contemporary backlist!!
Who’s going shopping for after-Christmas sales (or returns) today? NOT ME!!! But if you are, don’t leave home without your Shopping with Sheryl tips.
And be sure to NOT miss the final Holiday Free Book Friday coming this week–I have a special secret surprise for this Friday’s giveaway!!! And multiple winners! I’d tell you more, but then I’d have to kill you…..

Congratulations to you Cindi!!!! I hope every one had a Great Christmas. You would have to put me in a straight jacket to get me to go shopping today. Not in this lifetime and probably not the next either. I’ll leave that to Sheryl. She is stronger than me. Have a great day everyone and take care. Hugs.:rotfl:

The only way you’d get me to go shopping today is to pay me extra superduper megabucks. Like a 1 with nine zeroes (not including those after the decimal point).

LOL! That tree brings back memories of the many years we clung to having a real tree, cutting it down with the kids, etc. But family allergies changed all that. These days our is tree boxed in the attic between Christmases. And it’s so much more stately and symetrical than the ones that came before it.

Congrats Cindi!!
I was one of the brave souls out shopping at 7 a.m. this morning. I can probably say our Boxing Day equals the day after Thanksgiving to the Americans. 😯 But I did get my birthday presents early, so not all bad :bananadance:

Congrats Cindi!!!
And Suzanne, at least you had a tree this year. We didn’t put one up because we were not going to be here for Christmas (we went to my brother’s house).

Hello Suzanne,
I hope everyone enjoys the picture of me in my Industrial Shopping Gear. The hat is optional – it was a really BAD hair day for me.
I don’t go shopping on the 26th bacause I am too exhausted. My boss told me on Friday that I could take Monday off, so I did. It is 4:50 PM and I am just now moving around the house and trying to accomplish something. Spent the morning sleeping in and reading a good book!
Does anybody else have that post-Christmas exhaustion???
PS – Please see my reply under the Dec. 21 ammonia cookie baking blog.
Happy new year to all,
Cousin Sheryl

We’re thinking about going shopping tomorrow but I don’t know. The early bird specials are gone and it will probably still be a mad house:sad:

I didn’t go out shopping this morning. Stayed home and wrote, relaxed and thought about the new year before us.

:wave:I had to go to the store for a few groceries because my van broke down and that was the only day I could. It wasn’t too bad, I waited until evening.
Hi Cousin Sheryl, okay, I’ll try the cookies. :yes:Promise.

Hey, I wasn’t trying to be bad! I thought that like some other people I know you had a “presentation” tree and one for the kids and animals.
Congratulations Cindi on winning free and clear.
No, I certainly wasn’t going out shopping yesterday. I’d have got stomped into the ground. I do enough stumbling and fumbling all by myself.
 In Toronto, a 15-year-old girl was shot dead right downtown in the midst of the shopping crowd and 6 other people injured–two of them seriously. The police are investigating two men. Apparently, two other shootings took place very close to this spot at different times.
What an awful tragedy!
Hope all of you had a safe and happy Christmas time.
