Well, not exactly, but I have to have some excuse for not being back on August 8th as promised, don’t I? I have been jet-lagging from the double whammy of RWA and northern California, but I’m BACK! And I had soooo much fun!!!!
I’ll be here with more pictures, starting tomorrow, of RWA, San Francisco, Napa Valley, and Lake Tahoe! I SWEAR! Unless another giant redwood eats me……. They’re dangerous, ya know.

Yeah, I missed you. Jill didn’t say a word about you on her blog and I thought you were with her.
I kept coming back to see if you were back. I’m happy the redwoods didn’t eat you. They’re fantastic. In 1962 there was still one that you were allowed to drive through but I believe that’s no longer possible. My last visit to the West Coast was in 1997 and we had a lot of fun but since we had my mother along, my sister also realized that we definitely had to do something. One night she went downstairs to the bathroom at my aunt’s house and couldn’t find the stairs again to get back up although they were right next to the bathroom door. So she wandered into the living room and just lay there without a cover until one of my cousins found her early in the morning–all part of her Alzheimer’s.
