I’m weaning Maia. I give her very diluted milk, or sometimes just plain water. She doesn’t care! She drinks the water with gusto. And everybody else is curious and wants some!
I love this baby!

Holy doodle, she drank that fast! I love how even the donkeys, the roosters and chickens, and the goose get involved LOL.

How cute she is. Loved the video and the sounds of the farm. I love how she sticks her feet and all through the fence – she is a sweetie. She really sucked that bottle down in no time at all. So does she get anything else to eat during the day? I can’t imagine she lives on just water. I don’t know how soon baby goats eat hay or whatever.

Yes, Maia is eating hay and grass and feed, etc.

I leave mine on as long as possible so I don’t have to milk them twice. But they aren’t bottle babies of course. If they were I would wean them as fast as possible. This is a really cute video. She looks great.

Oh how I wish I could put that farm sound on my alarm clock! Maybe if I had an iphone! Love the video :sun:
Is it just me or does it sound like someone is saying “rip off” at 0:57 and 0:59??? Is someone jealous that they didn’t get any water, or are they telling Maia that she;s getting ripped off since it’s water and not milk?

Good golly, Miss Molly! I was expecting a big burp after that one. I don’t even know if goats burp. Loved the farm sounds, especially the rooster.
Loved your Daily Mail article about the chickens. That poor rooster. BTW, the Richmond, VA city council just approved an ordinance that allows city residents to have chickens in their back yards. That is as long as they have a permit (for $60.00) and they are allowed 4 hens. No roosters, though.
