You need this dip this weekend! I guarantee I’m having it here. I love the Lipton onion soup mix dip, so of course I had to figure out how to make it from scratch. It’s barely any more work to make it homemade, and much more delicious, so why not?
Here’s how.

How to make Easy Homemade Onion Dip:
2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 medium-size onions
24 ounces sour cream
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
Melt butter in a medium-size saucepan with two beef bouillon cubes. Dice onions and add to pan.
Saute over medium-high heat until bouillon cubes are dissolved and onions are caramelized.
Turn off heat and set aside to cool to room temperature. After the onions are cooled, combine onion mixture, sour cream, garlic salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving–with potato chips, of course!
How easy is that?

I had never thought about the second ingredient being bouillon, but it makes sense. So much for me?? Have a great 4th weekend.
