Poor Mr. Hyde has been spending an inordinate amount of time hiding out on the porch ever since his traumatic experience at the hands of other roosters. (See A Crooked Little Hen Love Story.) I feel so sorry for him, I don’t even try to make him get him off the porch anymore. He has been so humbled!

He’s looking a lot better, though, thank goodness. Everything all right between him and the crooked little hen?

I’m glad to see his wounds are healing, though he does still look very down at heart.

Maybe when he’s totally healed, he’ll get his spunk back and return to the chicken yard. Sure hope he gets better.

Humbled, you think? He’s plotting revenge….he has that ‘I will make those feathered idiots pay for this!!’ look in his beady little eye. He’s staying on the porch, eating dog and cat food and building his strength for the time he will go back to the chicken house. Look out roosters….he’s gunning for you!

Oh, I don’t know, he looks pretty content to me. Maybe he has decided to become the CITR mascot and spokes person, and thinks he deserves to live at the big house.

:snuggle: We have a banty Italian rooster that came free last year with our chick order. The big roos won’t let him crow. He and Mr. Hyde should get a bachelor pad together.

I still think he is a handsome fellow! Tell him I said so, maybe he needs a morale boost!

I think he has found his place in the world, right there on your porch with his lady. How nice of you to let him stay there.
