Morgan has a faulty door knob that keeps falling off, but if you can put the door knob back on, you can get her back in her room. (Until it falls off again.) Yesterday, she came home from school and discovered her door knob had fallen off and that it must have happened in such a way that in her rush to get off to school, she’d shut her door and somehow the door knob had ended up inside her room. And she couldn’t get in. She tried and tried. Then she got Weston and he tried and tried. After much to-do, he finally went outside, got a tall ladder, and climbed up to the roof then clambered inside her window and opened her door whereupon….
….Morgan found her door knob outside her door under her backpack.
She’s afraid to tell Weston, so keep it secret.

Weston is a good kid! Maybe it’s time to replace that pesky door knob. Weston and Morgan would both be happier!

1)assign the doorknob to paperweight duty.
2) String a good sturdy piece of cording thru the hold and put some wooden toggles as hand holds on both sides.

Hilarious! My daughter’s bedroom had that problem once, too. Now I’m thankful her room was on the first floor.

What door knob? Oh, you mean the one that was lying on the floor INSIDE of her room? Yes, thank you so much Weston for rescuing the “damsel in distress”.

Sounds like Morgan could use a lesson in doorknob repair (always a handy skill). Um, didn’t Weston wonder when he couldn’t find the doorknob inside her room?
