This sticky note appeared on the dryer this week. (Morgan’s handwriting.) I love how she thinks she needs to leave me a note about removing the dryer lint. I love how she can’t spell dryer lint. I love that she cares so much about dryer lint that she would write a note and stick it to the dryer. She must think sticky notes are powerful. What if I leave her a sticky note to do the dishes and vacuum? Get her hair out of her eyes? Feed the chickens? Should I be putting sticky notes all over the house?

I have a 12 year old son and he obsesses over that as well. It is mostly his job to swap out laundry and he gets so upset if I do it and don’t clean the lint filter or if I forget to put a dryer sheet in with the clothes. You would think it is a Cardinal Sin

I know how she can avoid lint – get her to hang her laundry outside on the line!

lol! That is too funny! Someone must have left the lint in the dryer at some point for her to think she needs to leave a not.

Ahhh, Suzanne she just dont want you to run low on homemade fire starters. Which by the way, I think is a great invention. I do like hanging our cloths outside when its pretty dry time is faster, throw’em in dry’r for a quik fluff after wards OH! AND DONT FORGET TO CLEAN THE LENT TRAP!!!! TO FUNNY LOL just joking :bugeyed:

You have teenagers….if you try leaving sticky notes for any or all of them, your cow would go unmilked, Clover would go un-cookied, eggs would go un-gathered….in short, your world would become not a farm but a Sticky Note Factory. No one wants that…least of all the teenagers and Clover.
And besides, the sticky note looses it’s power after awhile….no one reads them anymore and they eventually fall off whatever they were stuck on and slide, unnoticed, under the washer or dishwasher or bed.
Just be grateful you have a daughter who cares about something besides ….well, whatever teenagers care about nowadays. (Lord…I’m getting old!)

Cute! Mine is graduating kindergarten in a week and he’s started writing me little notes and giving them to me. I need to get him a sticky notepad. He would love that!

There is a similar sticky note on my dryer… My DH put it there to remind ME to clean the lint filter between loads!

Hey, be happy ’cause she understands the function of a dryer….I tried to give years of instruction in fifteen minutes to a college bound boy a few years on how to do the laundry.

Jenny says:
“Please go take the clothes out of the dryer, put the clothes from the washer into the dryer, clean the lint trap and turn the dryer on.” These are the words I speak to my teens each and every time I ask them to help with the laundry mountain. EVERY TIME or they leave that dad-blamed lint in place! EVERY TIME! I wonder if sticky notes would have much power ’round here.
And yes, buy the girl a barrette. :ladybug:

I do, too, 52. When I put the wet clothes into the dryer my hands are slightly moist and it is much easier to get the lint off the filter.

Suzanne, perhaps she intended that note to be a reminder to herself?
I do that sometimes.

That’s funny. Tell her around our house we clean the lint out before we put the wet clothes in, not after we take the dry clothes out. Therefore, it’s her job to clean the lint filter when she’s doing laundry.

My husband works for 3M so I think sticky notes all over the house, the car, the chicken coop, the barn . . *everywhere* would be a grand idea! :shimmy:
