    Part puppy—part squirrel!

  2. Jersey Lady says:

That is funny, Hallie, because I thought squirrel too, before I read your comment. When we lived in town, the squirrels would leap into the hanging baskets on our porch. It was almost like they came to ride on them like swings. What a mess! They would dig in the big pots on the steps too-so much so that I finally fashioned chicken wire skirts around the plants to keep those pests out of the soil.

Maybe flower pots on pedestals . . .

  4. Kelly Walker says:

This is exactly the reason why God makes puppies so cute….so you don’t kill them when they do something like this! 😕

  5. Rose in Vermont says:

Must be the phase of the moon – digging puppy moon? – Cause my twerpie puppy George discovered the pots on the porch too!! Good luck..

  6. CindyP says:

My DD’s puppy loved my raspberry bush yesterday — my one single plant from my dad! Chewed off down to the ground!!! Yes, I agree with you Kelly, this must be why they’re cute!

  7. Barbee' says:

Many years ago my mother said: “Honey, puppies and flowers don’t mix.”

  8. Annegi says:

What a bummer! Naughty puppy! I’ve been having a similar problem down at my garden plot. Twice I’ve had to replant almost everything! Very discouraging.

  9. Shelly says:

How cute is that! Puppies are great! :woof: :woof: :snoopy:

  10. Nancy says:

Are you SURE it was the puppy? Coulda been a chicken! :chicken:

When our lab was a pup my husband planted a bunch of baby trees…he exhaled and said “phew, all done”. I went hysterical and replied “not quite”… Jake had gone behind him and pulled up every single tree! I think all but one survived.

  12. Liz in Wis says:

    That little rascal!

  13. KentuckyFarmGirl says:

We are having puppy/flower pot/flower bed issues right now too.

  14. Brenda says:

My Yorkie thought all the flower pots were some kind of buffet line—she would walk along the deck, tasting and snacking on the soil from each pot.

  15. cindy says:

    But they are sooo cute!

  16. cranberry says:

Looks familiar, I’ve got one too, ‘cept mine likes to also eat it – ugh.

  17. Debbie in PA says:

LOL! We have squirrels here that do that! I bet the puppy looked cute, even though he was being so naughty! :woof:
