T Minus 10 Seconds

Official winter is still a month away, but I’m already missing our gorgeous fall color here. The leaves are nearly gone, revealing the bare branches that will soon be draped in snow, dripping with ice. The first ladybug has peeked into the farmhouse and the pipes are strategizing the most inconvenient dates to freeze. (They like to do that when company’s coming!) After a brief warm-up this week, the temperatures are dipping again. Winter is preparing to launch— And there are more than changes in the weather. I have some big changes coming up on my blog. Just exactly what….. I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Stay tuned!!

Anyone going Christmas shopping this weekend? Or today, Black Friday? Not me! And you don’t have to, either, if you’d like to tuck away an autographed copy of my October release, A Hero’s Redemption, in somebody’s stocking! Let me know if you want to be in the running! Drawing Monday!

Hi Suzanne! Winter has hit us like a ton of bricks! We had rain, freezing rain, wet snow, hail, and beautiful big snow flakes yesterday – all in that order. It is still on the bare branches and everywhere else in spite of the brilliant sunshine that we are blessed with today! Yours will come!
I would love to be in your book draw! If it is not too much trouble, please enter me. Thanks!

  2. Gina says:

No shopping for me this weekend! I might shop some online, but that will be the extent of it. I’d love to be in the drawing.

Have to run to the store in a while. Other than that it’s couch potato time in my home. Reading, studying for religion class and maybe ๐Ÿ˜• a little TV later on. I have had the stuff that’s been going around so am not feeling well. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Please enter me for your book. I haven’t gotten it yet. Have a great day and  to all.

  4. Kim A. says:

We had freezing rain and ice pellets here yesterday, a dusting of snow added to the mix. Messy day.

Okay, at least tell us *when* we will see these “big changes” to your blog. Hmm, I *like* your blog!

No shopping for me today, as it’s a regular day in Canada, not a holiday. No shopping this weekend, either, as the university pays us once a month only, on the last business day. That means my holiday shopping will have to wait until after the 30th. I have to get cracking on that too, as my biological family is split between the east and west coasts of Canada and I’m in Ontario.

Have a great weekend, everyone. Stay safe on the roads — there are too many crazed drivers looking for bargains. ๐Ÿ˜†

    -Kim

We even have ladybugs here in the frozen tundra. We found on last night flitting around the lamp, during our first snow/freezing rain of the season.

  10. Marty says:

We had fabulous colors this fall, despite the water shortage…I’m going to miss it ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s very wrong to work up a sweat putting up the Christmas tree ๐Ÿ™

I did a little shopping online today but that was the extent of it for me. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Suzanne, can you give us a hint at least of when these “big” changes are going to be happening???

  14. Tori Lennox says:

Somebody would have to pay me TONS of money to hit the stores today. Online shopping is the way to go! :woof:

  15. Teresa W. says:

No shopping for me today. I work in a restaurant and our store is doing catering for our local Target stores. We are providing food for all the employees that work on this day. Delivering food to them every couple of hours so I was at work this morning at 6 and got off at 4. I will be out shopping tomorrow since I have to get a baby shower present for a girl that I work with. The shower is tomorrow but other than that no shopping for me!

  16. Estella says:

I never shop on Thanksgiving weekend. Too many crazy people.
Please include me in the draw.

  21. Brandy says:

Hubs braved the hoards this morning and then we went out this evening. It wasn’t as bad as expected and this was the first year we’ve left the house on Black friday. Most my shopping was done before today anyway.
Not too big of changes for your blog please!
    Have a great weekend!

  22. Caro Kinkead says:

I actually did shopping on Thursday — Amazon started their Black Friday sale on DVDs early, so I took ten minutes before we headed for Thanksgiving Dinner and bought my husband a few sets for Christmas — and a copy of Project Runway Season 2 at $9 for myself.

Go near a mall today? Are you kidding?

  23. Tammy G. says:

What a wonderful gift to give. Thank-you for the chance! I’d love to give A Heroโ€™s Redemption into a loved ones stocking.

Not that I want the snow. Nope.

Count me in for your book! :woof:

  25. RobynL says:
