One, Two, Three, Four, FIVE!

FIVE! She had FIVE! And she listened to my constant whining and she had a calico baby for ME!!! Yay!!! Okay, who wants a kitten cuz we’re giving away the rest of them. FREE!! C’mon…. Callie decided the farmhouse bathroom was a good place to give birth so now there are kittens in my bathroom….

I talked to a vet yesterday and I said, “How soon can I bring a cat in to be fixed after she has kittens?” They said, “As soon as she weans the babies.” Uhhhhhhh……. I said, “But she kept nursing them till they were three months old and she was PREGNANT BY THEN!” They said in that case, bring her in at five or six weeks. I’m thinking five weeks. She’s a little slutty, ya know. :fryingpan:

Thank you, thank you for the well wishes on my new Haven series!! I’ll get out more info as soon as I have it. In the meantime, I’m writing hard!

My son would love one! LOL! We’ve already promised him one when our house gets finished. He’s like, “Mom, I want a white kitten. And I want to name it Lydia.”

I have NO idea how a 5 year old pulled the name Lydia out of thin air, but it’s cute!

Ooh, are they ever cute. I’d sort of like the little black ones–just as I liked the little gray one in the last litter. But they all looks so sweet.

Yeah, I think you’d better get her spayed–especially if the litters are going to keep increasing all the time.

I hope you guys didn’t really feel insulted in any way. That’s not what I meant to do. And, putting it in perspective, the story with the professors happened almost 50 years ago. I think since then, TV has helped most people learn more about Canada.

Just consider that we had British influence for somewhat longer than you did. But in most other things, we are essentially the same. You have Eskimos, or Inuit (the people) as they prefer to be called here in Canada at least, the same way w do in the North. We do have frozen tundra but that’s mainly north of the provincial boundaries as well. We have a large variety of Indian tribes, which, because of the climate difference in some areas of each country live differently. We’ve found dinosaur remains just as you have. We have nothing quite as spectacular as Yellowstone Park or the Grand Canyon but we do have other very beautiful spots.

And, unfortunately, we do not have the graciousness of the Southern tradition. That you definitely have all to yourselves.

    Vive la différence!

On the other hand, I’ve had some opportunities that others have not: I’ve had a chance to travel and live in different countries: certainly not every place I’d like to go but more than a lot of people. Something like that makes us recognize more of the similarities than the differences between peoples and countries.

    Wooooooooohoooooooooo!
    Thanks, Suz! I’m ecstatic! :bananadance:

That picture is wonderful. The kittens are so cute. Suz, thank you for asking the vet about when you can get her spayed. I’d wait until 6 weeks. And don’t let the temptress near any horny males. 😆 I’d love to have one, but as I’ve told you before, my Siamese is a one woman cat.

They are so darling. I wish I was in a position to have such a cute pet, but, unfortunately, I can not at this time in my life. I still love animals though and, hopefully, some day soon will be in a position to have another pet. However, love seeing and enjoying everyone else’s at this time.

    Congratulations, Melissa! :bananadance:

    Kittens are so cute!

I’m still sad over the loss of my kitty. She was nineteen years old and very sick. We brought her in last Thursday and now she isn’t hurting anymore.

  11. Madeline says:

ooooohhhh. So sweet! But yes, get little Ms.Fertility ‘s tubes tied sooner rather than later– it’s probably hard on her bod. to have too many litters in a row anyway..

I need some more animals..too bad I live so far away…

  12. Marcy says:

    How adorable! *sigh*

    Congrats, Melissa!

  13. Lis says:

Awww, that’s such a cute pic!! Have you named any of them yet?

  14. Melissa says:

Thanks for the congrats, Carol and Marcy. 😀
