:bananadance:We’ve been waiting and waiting and WAITING! On Monday night, we brought Callie in and set her up with a box in the cellar porch. And waited and waited and waited some more…..while she paraded her big preggo butt around the farmhouse just to irritate Buttercup.
Last night around 8:30 she got into the box and didn’t get out again………. Her tummy started contracting and we watched her push and push….. It took her over an hour, but suddenly she let out a little kitty cry and voila, there was the first baby! She did gross cat things to it, then not long after, she let out a little cry and there came another one…….
We gave up and went to bed by then, but first thing this morning we ran out to the cellar porch and this is what we found:
Callie had four babies! A gray one, two black-and-white ones, and an orange-and-white one. THE KITTENS HAVE LANDED!!! Oh, happy spring (even if it IS snowing outside!).
I will have to work hard to concentrate on writing today……….

Yay!! Kitties!!! So cute.
But the important question – how does Buttercup feel about the kittens?
On March 22, 2006 at 11:43 am
Suzanne says:
Buttercup is very very VERY cranky!!! Lots of hissing!! And growling!!
(And yes, we’re keeping them, so he’ll just have to get over it, LOL!)

They are just adorable–such little teeny-weenies!!!! How lucky you are to have so many adorable ones.
I know you live on a farm so you’ve got plenty of room to let the kittens roam. However, you may want to consider getting they neutered/spayed before you have a population explosion of teeny-weenies! They are adorable though. THank you for sharing your photos.

Kittens! I adore new kittens — we first met our Baby Jaffar two hours after he was born. (We would have been there, but Mama had trouble and had to go to the vet.)
They’re so wonderfully cute and Callie looks every inch the Mama Cat. Buttercup will have to deal, I’m afraid, or he’ll face the wrath of Mama. :fryingpan:

Oh so so cute. I care for ferals and was lucky to have a couple of them have their babies in a box on my porch. It started out with them having just one or two at a time but before I knew it, one summer one had 4 and another had two litters of 4. I ran out of friends. I’ve found homes and kept some and had all the girls fixed (I hope I hope I hope lol) but I think they tell each other that there’s free food and lodging at my place lol. And don’t you just love all the different colors. Now about names…

They are adorable. And so many different colors. Wonder who the daddy is.
The only time I can remember seeing new-born kittens, they didn’t have any fur and were a lot smaller. Is that possible? Or is it a false memory? (scratching head)
Congratulations, Callie, babies and McMinn family!:bananadance:
