Light snow yesterday. THAT’S IT. LIGHT SNOW.
You move to the mountains, you expect a blizzard. You get sleds and mittens and hats. You’re all ready. WHERE IS IT? I wuz robbed.
:hissyfit:
So I made bread instead. This was the BEST bread–three cheese jalapeno swirl bread. You spread cheeses and onions and jalapenos in a garlic/olive oil sauce on the dough then roll it up. Yum. I love to make bread. It’s so relaxing. You know, when you’re pissed off because there is NO BLIZZARD.:whip:
Didn’t it come out pretty?
Check out all the new Deep Blue updates on my website on the Home page and Books page and Readers page. And there’s a new excerpt. Check out the new Bio page, too! And a slew of new appearances on the News page, including a trip to Toronto in July! Must dig out the passport–you have to have a passport to go to Canada now, don’t you? Will also be scheduling a speaking engagement in Washington D.C. –I don’t have the date on that one yet but will be adding it to the Appearances sidebar on the News page when I get it. Am I coming to a city near you?

Bread looks great! And last time I went to Canada, all I needed was a valid driver’s license. Better safe than sorry, tho!

The bread looks amazing! MmMmMm…is there an actual recipe or is it one of those ‘toss it in’ recipes? Please share. I’m drooling here. ๐ณ
I don’t think you need a passport to get into Canada, Suzanne. LOL But you will need it to get back into the US. ๐

Do you know, Suzanne, that you are now OBLIGATED to post the recipe?
And I do believe — if you don’t need one already — you will be needing a passport to get into Canada. The U.S. has been asking Canadians for passports to get into the States for some time now. It’s too bad. I guess drivers licenses and such are much too easy to forge.
And …. now for that bread recipe…??

According to the State Dept. you don’t need a passport to go to Canada now but you will in the next year or so. However, I’d take it anyway just to make things easier at the border. ๐
The bread looks yummy!

I love to make bread. I finally found my niche in the ol’ who-brings-what-to-the-family-reunion-that-we all-can’t-wait-to-eat tradition. I have finally joined the ranks of Mom’s Corn Relish, Granny’s Sugar Cookies, Cousin Jewell’s carmel and chocolate pies and Aunt Dee’s Coke-Cake.
Baking is so wonderful on a cold winter day. But since we aren’t having any winter to spak of here in the Texas Panhandle, I feel a bit cheated this year so far.:hissyfit: I’m with you, Suzanne. 79 degrees in January, what the heck?

We aren’t really having much of a winter up here either. Where in the panhandle are you DesperateWriter? I used to live down that way…for 20 years! lol
