I’m letting the babies out in the yard now during the day (as of yesterday). They need the exercise and space to dance around.
And dance, they do.
Mr. Pibb, inspecting rival bucklings.
There’s been a lot of head-butting as the pecking order must be re-established with new goats in the mix. Not that these boys can stay long with the girls. Note in this video the already-amorous behavior as Sailor attempts (hopelessly) to climb Mount Sprite. There’s some cute goat dancing in here, too.
P.S. They will have to move down to the bottom pasture goat field with Rhett and (daddy) Eclipse as they mature. (Mr. Pibb will be moving down with them also as his job here is probably done. For now.) The babies (Sailor and Pirate) are available for sale. (Email me at CITRbusiness(at)yahoo.com if you’re interested.)

They are so cute!!! I stood down at the goat yard this afternoon for thirty some odd minutes watching Esmerelda dance around her mama and Matilda just kind of looked at her like I look at my kids sometimes and you just wondered if shes thinking , ” would you just go find something to play with!!!” lol
I love having goats :happyflower:

Well, yes they are devastatingly cute, and bit randy. BTW, is there a new animal in the goat house? In the first photo–> back there–> eating hay–>the grey and white one. Looks like a pushmi-pullyu to me!

It is so much fun to watch them learn to be big goats from the herd! My babies are now about 9 months old and are still very silly and playful. I go out to their barn and just sit and watch them play…

My, lots going on there! Poky inspecting them too! Love the sound effects! We depserately needs a goat or two to eat the brush around here but have our eye on some meat/cashmere goats sold nearby, just not this fall. Next year is always just over the horizon…
