Lovely. I can hear the rustling of the hay, the bleating of the goats, the roosters crowing and the hens chortling. Still sounds peaceful to me though.
That is a beautiful photo. And the noise we don’t have to hear is what you get for buying a whole order of rooster chicks. I got chicks for the first time this year and had only four roosters in the batch and that was a nightmare. It sure is nice now that they are all gone. Peace that matches that photo.
The only way to wean that brat calf is to keep her totally away from her mother, and probably out of hearing distance. They will bawl for a few days tho. I’m sure you know that already.
