We’re expecting a potential ice storm overnight, so I’ve done my usual preparations. My generator wouldn’t start, so I put the float charger back on it. (Argh.) I brought in wood for the fire. I’m baking bread and cooking a pot of beans–my customary power outage comfort food. Maybe it won’t be that bad. Maybe the power won’t go out.
It’s okay either way, and that’s a good feeling.

Take care! So far we’ve had no ice storms this year in Dallas. The pot of beans sounds yummy!

Yep, this storm seems like it really means business. Me…getting in supplies, making beans (!), battening down the hatches. (wind’s been terrible scary last couple days)

Here’s to staying warm and dry! What is with that generator of yours? It’s been a real pain. How frustrating…. The last time I had to deal with generators, one was perfect but underpowered, and the other had enough power but it leaked and stalled and generally was a pain in the behind. =C

We have rain predicted, flooding rain. Here’s hoping your ice is limited and we don’t receive the 8 inches predicted.
