We’re expecting a big snow storm this weekend in West Virginia. How much snow is anybody’s guess. The forecasts are changing all the time. But it’s okay. I have aluminum foil.
(If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read here: Snowed Under, Send Aluminum Foil.)

We’re also supposed to be getting some of that snow tonight. It was also supposed to snow Christmas Eve and Christmas day. Forecast has been changed to rain. Any more rain, and I’m gonna build myself an ARK!
I received my calendar today. It is adorable!! And there are pictures of Clover that I hadn’t seen on the blog! Thank you so much for the contest! I still can’t believe I won a calendar.

hurray for aluminum foil! We actually get some sun today and for the next several days. I need an intermission from all the moisture to clean the barn… it is rather stinky! Stall cleaning is a great way to work off all the holiday sweets! :hungry2:

I live in Florida along the Gulf Coast. If you get snow the way we have gotten the earlier rain, measure that foil carefully. It may be a long winter, and you will have to ration carefully. But I have seen pictures of your pantry and I know you will eat well.

Yes, I am hearing a lot about the pending snowstorm on the news even here in The Great Midwest. We all get our turn with blizzards it seems, and I am so happy you are prepared! Keep the fire banked and burning brightly, keep all of the animals sheltered with full tummies, and enjoy the storm. Oh, and take lots of photos too! :happyflower:

As I saw the weather map and predictions for West Va. of course I thought of you and your full freezers and pantry, and I felt comforted, but a wee bit unsure of getting that generator started. Could Weston start it for you while you build up your arm muscles?! He looks like the football player that you say he is, so he should be strong enough (?) Hope you do not need it, but just thinking: what if you do. Guess you can always drape a cat around your shoulders.

Northern PA has a light dusting of snow so far. Our storm shopping check list includes, milk, bread and toilet paper. The BIG 3. Glad to see you’ve stocked up on aluminum foil. Now you can sit back in front of the fire and watch the snow. Have a great day!

We have a winter storm coming later this week..well it’s what they call a ‘winter storm’ down here in Kansas anyway. We get about 3 inches of snow and everything shuts down…I still smile and shake my head over that one. I was born and raised in Canada north of North Dakota and 3 inches is just a ‘skiff’ to us. Heck 3 inches and a wind would make great ice fishing weather for my family up there! I on the other hand have turned into a ‘woos’ so 3 inches of white stuff just before Christmas is exciting for me…hope it stays for the holidays..then it can melt away until this time next year. Hang in there Suzanne…enjoy the peace and quiet while you’ve got it :hungry2: (pitchfork!)
