"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

One of my favorite things about puppies is how they will race around getting into all kinds of trouble, then suddenly just drop in a deep, peaceful sleep. That is one sweet puppy!

We have a puppy too. I think the real picture should be an exhausted Morgan, scattered chewed up items. It is hard to keep up with a puppy! Good thing they are so darn cute.

I wish I could sleep that well! He’s a real cutie pie. He is lucky to have other dogs in his family. I bet he lives a fun life. He is already looking longer than in the former photo of him sleeping.

What an irresitable little sweetie. I think God made puppies (and kittens) just so that people would fall in love with them. I mean, their sweetness is not just in their personalities, its in their very GEOMETRY!

Maura @ Lilac Lane Cottage says:
Aww this fellow is so cute. We just had 3 little ones like that here at the farm…someone dumped them on the side of the road and I guess hoped that a farmer would take them home. They were about 2 1/2 – 3 months old. We already have 3 dogs so we brought them home and then took them to the nearest Humane Society that tries very hard to find homes for them and if they can’t then they’re sent to Colorado. If they can’t find homes for them they’ll be placed at a NO KILL shelter. Your little fellow is lucky to have such a good home with you and your family in the country. I’m looking forward to seeing more cute pictures of him. Have a wonderful weekend! Maura (Chic :hungry2: )
