Counting Chickens

Feb

How many chickens do I currently have on my farm? There’s a 2011 Chickens in the Road Calendar riding on your answer!

One winner will be drawn by random comment number from the correct (or closest) responses to receive a CITR 2011 calendar. Eligible entry ends at 1 p.m. U.S. Eastern time today (February 6). You can only guess once. This post will be updated with the winner shortly after 1 p.m. and a new calendar giveaway post will go up. Good luck! (It’s February. The calendars gotta go! I have several set aside and I’m giving them away today! Find the winner of the Donkey Ears calendar giveaway here.)

P.S. I don’t know how many chickens I have. I’m gonna go milk BP then start counting!

1 p.m. UPDATE! I have 29 chickens. (Unless some of them were hiding when I counted.) The winner is comment #51, Melinda. (Several had 29 down, so I ran the random number generator until it hit one of your comment numbers.) Email me at CITRgiveaways(at)yahoo.com with your full name and address for shipping!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED TO ENTRY.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
