Boomer followed me over two miles down our muddy road yesterday on my way to pick up Weston from the bus. Near the hard road, I finally gave up and picked him up for fear he’d run down the hard road after me, too, and risk getting hit by a car.

He threw up in the back seat before we got home, of course.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

My sister had a cat once who every time she went to the vet would make a terrible mess in the truck. Throwing up, wetting, poo-ing…just where ever there was an outlet, bad things would come flying out. I never offered to help my sister take that cat to the vet. I felt bad about it but I never offered.

Our cat follows me around the block anytime I take the dogs for a walk. It used to be ok when we lived where we had a sidewalk, but now we don’t and he runs in the road… sometimes I pick him up and just carry him home because I worry he’ll get hit by a car. Lately I’ve been locking him in the house while I walk the dogs. Our cat thinks he’s a dog, and our pit mix thinks he’s a cat… go figure.

Also, I had a cat that was so scared when we took him to the vet his feet would sweat.
It isn’t just animals. I can’t handle merry-go-rounds or ferris wheels, and I’d rather die that ride a roller coaster.
