OMG..fried chicken !! I had all my top teeth pulled Sept. 17th and have been subsisting on soft foods ever since !Today we did the final mold for my new dentures and hopefully I will have them by this weekend ! The first thing I want is FRIED CHICKEN !!!I dream about it ! And I can see you cook it just the way I do ! Nothing better !!Except maybe fresh sliced tomatoes and cream gravy to go with it ! And there are no fresh homegrown tomatoes to be had this time of year ! Darn ! :hissyfit:

I love me some fried chicken……..and you know homemade lard makes a better fried chicken? Read that after Cathy posted to the Rendering Lard post.

I’m eating my yummy oatmeal and hot tea at o’dark thirty but that chicken looks grand! I’m now lusting after home fried chicken. I don’t have a kitchen exhaust vent that works, so frying here is not a good option unless you can do it outside.

Mmmmm I made fried chicken a couple of weeks ago with chicken bought from an Amish community. Amazing how much more taste that chicken had compared to the stuff in the stores. Yours looks so good Suzanne…makes my mouth water! :hungry:

Fried chicken sounds wonderful. My Grandma used to cook a large meal late morning everyday, and they would eat it for lunch and supper. If company happened by there would be enough for them too! Now that’s country cookin!

You should invite Mean Rooster into the kitchen the next time you fry chicken – let him get a vision of his future if he doesn’t become civilized!!!

Thanks for the mouth watering photo-this looks so delicious!
Darn it, I’ve not had much success with fried chicken…would you share your chicken frying method? (couldn’t find it on your site)(I suspect there’s lard involved?)
Gotta go–excited to purchase “Angel Time” today!

When I had my tonsils removed at 12 years old, the first thing I asked mama to cook was fried chicken, mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy! I never knew one could be so tired of ice cream, jello, and pudding!
