We’re driving back to North Carolina today!
Goodbye to the farmhouse! Goodbye to the porch!
Goodbye to the old well and the washboards and the churns.
Goodbye to the twisty turny mountain roads and the little cemetery in the woods.
Goodbye to great-great-grandfather’s house and the old cabin and the holler.
AND GOODBYE TO THAT DAMN ROOSTER.
