So are you ready to take up rodeo calf roping now?
LOL, look at that body language! You don’t have to be the Calf Whisperer to know she’s resisting this with every fiber of her bovine body. Doesn’t she remind you of a two-year-old who’s finally been restrained from being naughty?

Reminds of a cute little story…
Mom to 2 year old son: “Sit down, right now.”
Son, reluctantly sitting: “I might be sitting on the outside but I STANDING UP on the inside!”
I think that sweet thing is NOT happy either.

I knew you could do it!!! Just pet her, and pet her, and pet her. She’ll be okay. This encouragement from one who has absolutely no experience with cow babies, only human ones, and those not of my own either! BUT, I have faith in you!!!

The kids (5 of them) showed Holstein calves for 4-H, they all started out wild-eyed. They were sooo gentle as they became used to the halter, and were easy to milk when the time came. Hang in there, Suzanne, GB will be loving being loved!!

Suzanne I just wanted to come back and tell you that I went to take a nap and left my computer on for my beloved husband to use – and when I awoke I saw that he had discovered your blog [you’re on my blogroll] and he was getting the biggest kick out of all the animal pictures.
[He started with this one] I think a calendar is in his future. You don’t by chance still sell the Clover one too, do you? He is quite taken with her – as are we all.
On October 24, 2010 at 2:46 am
Suzanne McMinn says:
skippymom, the Clover calendar isn’t available anymore because it was a 2010 calendar and usually no one wants one after about the middle of the year! But the new one is for sale! ๐
