Cousin Mark the district attorney in his farmer outfit. He doesn’t look much like a lawyer, does he? Yesterday he rolled out the woodsplitter and we all carried logs to the woodpile for Georgia. I think they have enough wood for the winter. ::thunk::
Okay, okay, okay, I didn’t kill the rooster. BUT I WANTED TO. He went to happier pastures at the neighbor’s farm. He is now waking them up at 1 am, 1:15 am, 1:45 am, 2 am, 2:15 am………..

I wonder if farm life will be like this for my sister and her family. They just moved to one in Ontario on Nov. 7. They’ll have a few Highland cattle–what do you expect from a guy named Stewart–as well as a fish hatchery–trout was the last thing I heard. It’s a little strange that my brother-in-law hates eating fish but loves catching, raising and drawing them. Go figure.
I was finally able to get to a store last night and buy a copy of THIRD SIGHT. Since I’m trying to finish a contest this week, I haven’t started it yet but hope to soon. Must have something to do with the Andes considering the picture of Macchu Piccu (I’m not sure that’s the correct spelling.)
I hope that I won’t have to use the library computers for much longer. Some of the people are driving me batty. I think the girl who’s sat next to me a couple of times must be very disturbed. She’s always rocking or tapping her feet and is rarely still. Yesterday and today I saw her walking along the street carrying a doll like a baby. I wonder what is going on in her head. It’s so sad.
Hope you got some writing done or at least were able to “recharge your batteries”. I’m definitely in need of that right now. The move was murder and the aftermath will be felt for the next while. Settling in a new place is definitely as difficult if not more so than moving out of somewhere.
Here our temp is around 55F, quite windy and overcast. Forecast is for a possible thunderstorm. (since I’ve just got your weather “beside” me.

Since it’s been a long time since I had to cut wood, I am able to wax nostalgic about it (as opposed to remembering what backbreaking work it was). We had a deadfall permit, which meant we could cut dead or blazed trees on public property. And I would love to tell you we never mixed alcohol and chainsaw use, but I’d be lying…:wigglebrow:

We’re having higher than normal temperatures here so the thought of having to cut wood for a fire is really nice!
Hope you’re having fun.

I used to help my Dad cut wood but I don’t remember it being fun. I did enjoy the time spent with Dad but I lost him much too soon. I knew that old rooster wasn’t dead. You couldn’t do it!! Congrats to you Angie.:!:
