Name Tags for You!

CindyP is working on these name tags for CITR Retreat 2011 attendees. Don’t they look fabulous? She is so talented. If it were left to me, I might give you guys a sticky note and a crayon. Aren’t we glad we have CindyP?! She’s putting each name along with the username (that we know the attendee by on the site) on the tags to help us all put sometimes unfamiliar “real” names together with familiar CITR names.

The time draweth nigh! Or in other words, the retreat is a mere month away!

OHMYGOD!

::Suzanne runs screaming from building::

Okay, I’m back, just had to get that out of my system.

I’ll get it all done. I’ll get it all done. Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Anyway, HEADS UP, retreat attendees! Be expecting emails throughout the next few weeks. We may have questions for you as we finalize the last details. A few emails have been sent out in the last couple weeks for which we didn’t receive a response. If we’ve emailed you, please write us back! You don’t want CindyP to not make you a name tag, do you? Do you want a sticky note?!

I’m just kidding.

I’m a little stressed.

I’m fine. Really.

Seriously!

I gotta say, this retreat is nearly killing me….it seems like it is going to be soooooo fabulous!
And I tried, oh how I tried…but either a 13 hour drive (and I really dislike driving) or 7, yes 7 trains through 5 states and 2 provinces, or 3 plane connections (totaling $1200) make it impossible.
So I sit at home, and drool over the pictures and posts as they come up. And live vicariously.

  5. Miss Judy says:

Oh, how I would love to come to the retreat! Just not doable! I’ll just sit here and pout! 🙁

  6. Liz Pike says:

Wow, I’m not even going and I so thankful for y’alls efforts!!! CindyP you rock!! You, too, Suzanne!!

(Did you pass Elvis as you ran from the building? Just wondering.)

  7. SoBelle says:

:happyfeet: Cutest nametags EVER! Sounds like so much fun! Enjoy! :woof:

  8. whaledancer says:

Time to start reminding yourself it’s a party, just a big ol’ oversized party. It’s going to be FUN. What gets done, gets done, and what doesn’t get done can become one of the projects. Or not. The people who are coming are your friends (even if you haven’t met yet). They are going to enjoy themselves. They will have fun meeting you, and each other, and BP, Clover and the rest of the gang. I’ll bet if they did little more than sit on your porch and look out over the view, they’d still have a great time. Relax, it will be fine. Deep breath. Don’t wear yourself to a frazzle.

  9. holstein woman says:

Well 3500 miles keeps me away, and did I mention 4 cows to milk etc…….. Too much work, I may try next year however.
This is going to be THE EVENT. I can hardly wait for the posts afterward.
Fabulous job both of you Suzanne and CindyP!

  10. IowaCowgirl says:

    Those are the COOLEST nametags.

If I weren’t stuck in the volcanic heat of Iowa, I would gladly join you. And whaledancer has good advice!!

  11. Blyss says:

The tags looks FABULOUS! (Just like you are Cindy and Suzanne!!!) I can’t wait to come, and Cindy, if you need any help, don’t forget I am not THAT far away… I can help with anything you need, just say the word!ONE MORE MONTH!!! I REALLY can’t wait! :sheepjump:

  12. huntermom says:

Last year missed “the” party becuz boss is a jerk….did I say that? So I asked off early this year. Oops, not the same date and then my daughter decided to get married that weekend. I told her I had plans, she just didn’t understand, can’t imagine. After seeing the name tags, I’m done with this weeding poop and I’m crashing this party………….no not really. Have a great time, and please plan again next year. I wanna come, wah wah wah

  13. dma2195 says:

  14. Sonia says:

Love the name tags CindyP!! Fantastic job, cannot wait to get mine!! I promise to wear it with pride 🙂

  15. countrydreams64 says:

ONE OF THESE YEARS, I will come!!! (Iowa here too) Oh and those nametags are just fabulous!

By the way, Suzanne, I’m sure hoping you have someone ELSE lined up to be taking pictures during your retreat. I know when I have a party and I end up taking all the pictures, I hate it ‘cuz I miss out on so much!! Just hoping for you!

  16. CarrieJ says:

Chillllll…Suzanne, it’s gonna be great! And I LOVE the nametags 🙂

  17. kellyb says:

Cindy P, the name tags look fantastic. I can’t wait to see my hubby walking around with his name tag on!!

Suzanne, relax, slow deep breaths. I’m not coming to clean or dust, I’m coming to visit and learn from you. I always tell folks if they don’t like the condition my house is in, they can get the dust rags and vacuum out and fix it. Hasn’t stopped anyone from coming so far. Working farms have dust and mud, if they didn’t I’d be mighty suspicious.

  18. rainss61 says:

They are fabulous :snoopy: Love them Cindy! Writing this on the road literally- back of ole and I
Mean old. Camper . On test run weekend in prep for retreat! Answered my emails -am packed-sending door prizes tomorrow! It will be fine Suzanne! U know we are all friends! Rain :shimmy: :sheep:

  19. VAfarmer says:

  20. boydsandthebees says:

Erica, I live right up the road from you in Nokesville (near Vint Hill)!! I’m so jealous that you get to go to the retreat — I’d love to get to talk to you when you return and hear how it was!!!!! What do you have on your farm????
    Susan

  21. VAfarmer says:

Hey Susan! What a small world! Send me a message privately and we can discuss. I’d definitely be glad to have you by to talk about the retreat & party. Sure you don’t wanna go? I’ve got room in the backseat!

  22. VAfarmer says:

Oh, and I’m a little slow this morning… I have horses, a donkey, goats, and a huge garden (plus 3 dogs of my own, a foster dog, and 3 turtles). I’m looking into chickens but first need to get the fences repaired/built for the big goat pens and the extra horse pasture! What about you?
