First there was a tutu.

And then there wasn’t.
And then!
Look what I spied this morning when I went into the milking parlor.
On Sunday afternoon, during the time I had let Maia out to visit with retreat attendees wearing her tutu, I took attendees for a walkabout and we went to the barn. We went through the barn and up to the loft and back behind the barn. We’d been in the milking parlor earlier when I’d taken them milking, so we didn’t go into the milking parlor on our walk, but Maia was wandering around at the time. And she knows if I go to the barn, MAYBE I’m milking, and she knows that milking means Glory Bee’s big feed. So I think she must have gotten excited and gone under the barn and squeezed her way into the milking parlor to check. Then she realized nobody was in the milking parlor, so she squeezed her way back out–and in the process, left her tutu behind. I didn’t realize she’d been in the milking parlor, so it was the one place on the farm I hadn’t looked. After the retreat, I took a few days off milking, as I usually do after retreats. I started back milking yesterday, but didn’t notice the tutu until today.
And kept looking everywhere else for the tutu. And nobody told me.
What did she know and when did she know it?
What did she know and when did she know it?
WHAT DID SHE KNOW AND WHEN DID SHE KNOW IT?
Hmmph.
Excuse me while I go wash a tutu.
