It’s great to see your whole nice “little clan” together–first of your husband I’ve seen since the wedding picture.
I had to show the photo of your Pilgrim and Indian to the kids sitting next to me on Friday. It was such a cute picture. Who was behind the scenes or did they really stand up like that all by themselves?
No holiday for me this time but I’m always glad when these high-stress events are over. I never go to Boxing Day Sales–our version of Black Friday. :hyper:
I am looking forward to New year’s Eve. Let’s just skip to then and get ready to start a new year.I have 2 grandchildren coming next year. I am so looking for that. I finally found my calling in life–to be a Grandmother!! Everyone have a great week. Hugs.:!::!:
I got two free turkeys this year and gave one to my mom for thanksgiving and did one 2 days later cause I have no freezer space but the biggest mistake was doing yardwork for 5 hours first – never again:no:
I slept through half my time off  I am glad it’s over–my car died and I learned my parents have to come live with me for ten days between closings on their houses…can we fast-forward to December 24th?
Well, yes I am glad it is over and will be happy to put relatives on a PLANE tomorrow. Sometimes expectations are our undoing! I had high hopes of a delightful family gathering. but the new step-Mom let me do ALL THE COOKING, CLEANUP and TABLE SETTING and after her last forkful of turkey, promptly went into her room to watch the sci-fi channel all night.
I am an eternal optimist but somehow this Thanksgiving has given me a small blow to my heart and I have to just rally myself up out of it and move on..I LOVE the holidays.. Dh has promised me a night out this week to make it all up..
Sigh, I am beginning to be EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for my small but wonderful nuclear family, that’s me, husband and grown up son. Oh yes, the cats love me too. I gave them extra turkey just for sticking around after dinner.
Hi Suzanne, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. At least you were able to get a picture of everyone at the table…I wasn’t able to, it was at my brother in law’s house and was of a potluck style. Everyone lunged at the food like ravenous wolves. I was kinda ticked that I was unable to get my ‘Kodak Moment’ for the scrapbook. Well, there’s always next year, and the next year, and the next year, and the next year….
my baby (#4) is only 6 weeks old though, so I’m glad we had t-day at someone else’s house!

“Yes, I’m glad it’s over,” I say as I eat my leftover mac and cheese. And then I’m going for leftover lemonade pie.
