A Barn in September

One of my favorite old tumbledown barns a few miles from our farm.

After this awful hot spring and summer, I am loving these nice, perfect days of pre-autumn!

Let it last. Please, let it last!!!!!

I froze at my son’s football scrimmage- so glad jeans and sweater time is here!

This is too funny….on my drive yesterday, I was looking for old barns to take a pic of, because it just seemed that kind of day. I didn’t find any new ones, though. I just love old barns….

I did get some pics of what we call “snow clouds”, but I’m hoping that was just the lighting giving them that affect!

  5. Becky says:

    Love the picture, Suzanne!
We went from winter straight to summer down here. We are ready for some cooler temperatures. And I hope that it doesn’t go straight to winter.

  6. glenda says:

    Beautiful picture.

This is just the best part of the year…a hint of cooler weather coming and rain, sweet rain (maybe too much).

You are blessed to live in a rural area that is so beautiful.

  7. Eve Davis says:

I love the cooler weather, I am just afraid that we are going to have a tough winter. I am watching the leaves turn already and the squirrels seem to be very busy eating pinecones and using me for target practice!

  8. beth Brown says:

I so agree! I am loving the cool mornings!

    Beth :moo:

I seriously can not tellyou how much I am looking forward to seeing WV in Oct, and your place in particular. We don’t really get fall here, and I think I miss it the most. I am beyond excited!

Lovely photo and the “feeling” that comes through.

  12. CherShots says:

What a great picture. Even without going into that barn, you can feel the history oozing out between the worn slats. I love old buildings.

  13. Miss Becky says:

oh I hear you Suzanne. the days are sunny and warm with cool, perfect nights for sleeping. beautiful photo

  14. marymac says:

Hey I think I know where that barn is!!!

  15. Cyndy Buiniskis says:

(((sigh)))…here in the northeast corner of Texas, we had a hint that sweet Autumn was thinking about visiting us, over Labor Day weekend. It was lovely and well enjoyed…..which was good because….today? upper 90s with super-high humidity. UGH
So grateful we’re going home to PA for a fall visit in 3 weeks!!!
