Morgan wasn’t enthused by any stretch, but I insisted she make butter at least once because I refuse to let her grow up on a farm and not know how to make butter.
She has checked that one off her life list now.
See my post today at Farm Bell Recipes!
yeah.. she looks just thrilled 🙂

Giant Puppy looks like she’s pretty interested in the butter making process.
Didn’t your cousin bring you a churn, Suzanne? Doesn’t it work? I’d be willing to bet Morgan would be a darn sight more interested in butter making if she had a churn to use instead of shaking that jar!
Wow…I can’t believe I am the first to post a comment in TWO things today! Everyone else must be sleeping in!

Seems to me a jar will be easier to clean after-wards than a churn. Ha, love the photo! I bet the day will come when she will feel proud that she knows how to do that, even if she never makes butter again.

Ha! That’s a thrilled teenager picture!
When she turns 40 and returns to the farm, because it’s just calling her back, she’ll already know how to make butter (so she’s going to need a lesson on milking a cow, so she can make the butter)! Hopefully she will still have access to CITR, so she can learn so many other things, just as we have!

Cocoa is just waiting for that butter.

Yeah well, I bet she likes having butter on her toast! Making her shake jar for a bit to help get it there probably isn’t QUITE teen abuse… but it may be close! 😆

A cake blender works faster. I did the jar method my first time too and wasn’t too thrilled either. 😉
